UK Libraries Event to Feature Director of Bush Library
The upcoming UK Libraries Annual Dinner will feature guest speaker and UK history alumnus Alan C. Lowe, director of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The annual dinner will also feature the 2012 presentation of the UK Libraries Medallion for Intellectual Achievement to UK chemist John Anthony.

Professor Jeremy Popkin Wins American History Association Book Prize

On October 24, 2011, UK history professor Jeremy Popkin was named as the 2011 recipient of the American History Association (AHA) J. Russell Major Prize for the best book in early modern French history. His award-winning winning book – “You Are All Free: The Haitian Revolution and the Abolition of Slavery” – was published by Cambridge University Press in 2010.
