FLIE-Japanese: The Donna and Gabriel Treesh Foreign Studies Award
The Donna and Gabriel Treesh Foreign Studies Award is a travel award open to FLIE-Japanese students who plan to study abroad in Japan on an approved UK education abroad program in a summer, semester, or academic year. Minimum GPA at the time of application: 3.25 (or has shown remarkable academic improvement if below 3.25). Awards range from $250 to $1,000.
To apply, prepare (1) the application form, (2) a one-page (double-spaced) essay explaining how this award will enhance the potential for your career and academic success, and (3) your most recent unofficial transcript, and send all of them to Dr. Inoue at msinoue@uky.edu by the deadline (usually February). In addition, (4) request two UK faculty members each to send a letter of recommendation directly to Dr. inoue by the deadline.
